“Jesus didn’t love sinners and embrace outcasts to make them acceptable to God. He did it to show them, and everyone else, that God had already accepted them.”
~ Zach W. Lambert, Better Ways to Read the Bible
At Church of the Holy Spirit, we do our best to enact the love that Jesus taught and modeled, by serving and supporting our North Clark County community, nurturing our own faith, and helping as we’re able, wherever we go. For 2026 we are excited to support the following organizations:
Battle Ground Public Schools’ Family & Community Resource Center
The FCRC provides food, clothing, supplies, and resources for students and their families, homeless students, and those in the foster care system. On their web page, you will find information about the programs, local resources, and who to contact if you’d like to volunteer or be involved in another way.
FCRC’s current “most wanted items list is:
Laundry soap or pods
Dish soap, Hand soap
Deodorant, Body wash
Diapers & baby wipes
Sweats/leggings (all sizes)
Underwear (all sizes)
Socks (all sizes)
We collect items for the Center at Holy Spirit – even if you haven’t come to see us yet, feel free to drop off donations at the church and we’ll see they get to the right place – or they can be brought to the center’s office (see link above)
Community Food Bank
We have worked with the North County Community Food Bank for several years, helping to feed those in need in Battle Ground. The NCCFB serves “more than 950 families monthly, offering food supplies, shopping and job assistance, basic cooking courses and more.”
Visiting Service for Seniors
Church of the Holy Spirit holds a monthly worship service at Mallard Landing Assisted Living;
We also participate in local LGBTQ+ Pride events, and welcome and support our Queer siblings in faith. Remember:
GOD LOVES YOU AS YOU ARE – NO EXCEPTIONS.
Past outreach has included: Seafarers’ ministry at the Port of Vancouver, the Renewed Heart Foundation (an association of Christian therapists), the Northwest Battle Buddies program (providing service dogs for veterans), and the Battle Ground Free Health Clinic.
